DEWALT®, one of the most recognized brands in the United States, enters the HVAC business with its first product called CUBIX™.The name CUBIX™ identifies a family of in-line centrifugal fans, designed for commercial and industrial applications. It incorporates several truly innovative features and is available in 5 models, with capacities from 180 to 8,000 cfm and static pressures up to 2.4” w.g.
Main Features
Variable speed ECM type motors
ECM type motors are the latest innovation in electric motor technology, which through the use of digital controllers and permanent magnet rotors, achieve an infinite range of speeds, with the lowest energy consumption, and continuous modulation (without stages) according toto the demand of the ventilation system.
Three control signals, rotary switch
A rotary selector on the outside of the CUBIX™ is all that is needed to change modes or control sequences, coming from remote sensors: 0-10 VDC;4-10mA;or direct adjustment of RPM for balancing purposes.
High efficiency MERV-10 type air filters
Optional high-efficiency MERV-10 grade filters are available for supply air applications to ensure good quality of air entering the building.A pair of differential pressure measurement ports is also included in this option, to monitor the status of the filters, using a portable differential pressure meter.
External main switch for safety
The external safety switch prevents accidents that can occur if the fan is energized while maintenance work is being carried out.
Hinged access doors and locks
The CUBIX™ access and service doors can be opened and closed without using tools, which is very convenient for maintenance personnel.
3 Years Limited Warranty
CUBIX™ offers solid support in the availability, quality and warranty of parts and accessories;from our motors, fans, to electronic modules, we have robust support for parts and after-sales technical service through our network of authorized agents.
In-line Centrifugal Fans CUBIX™
CUBIX™ is part of a portfolio of the new generation of in-line centrifugal fans offering sustainable innovation for the industry.
Characteristics
1.- Introducing CUBIX™, the first DEWALT® product for the HVAC industry.
ECM type motors are the latest innovation in electric motor technology, which through the use of digital controllers and permanent magnet rotors, achieve an infinite range of speeds, with the lowest energy consumption, and continuous modulation (without stages) according toto the demand of the ventilation system.
3.- CUBIX™, an “in-line” type centrifugal fan with the greatest number of advantages and standard features on the market.
The DEWALT® CUBIX™ has several innovative features, all included as standard equipment, such as, ECM motors, three control sequences or modes, hinged and lockable access doors, acoustic insulation with double perforated steel walls, hanging bracketsthe fan, safety switch, ports for external control connections, external speed control for system balancing, suction and discharge duct flanges, etc.
The CUBIX™ access and service doors can be opened and closed without the use of tools, which is very convenient for maintenance personnel. With just a ¼ turn of the heavy-duty aluminum locks, the technician can access all internal components through a door that rotates up to 180°.When the job is finished it is just a matter of closing the door and turning the lock to achieve a tight seal.
5.- Three control signals, selectable using a rotary switch.
A rotary selector on the outside of the CUBIX™ is all that is needed to change modes or control sequences from remote sensors: 0-10 VDC;4-10mA;or direct adjustment of RPM for balancing purposes.
The rotary speed adjustment control on the CUBIX™ is intended to modulate the RPM during the testing and balancing operation of the ventilation system. It is important to note that having this selector on the outside of the fan makes the balancing more accurate, as you do not have to open the fan to operate a selector mounted on the motor housing, thus preventing part of the air flow that should enter.to the fan through the suction duct, do so through the open access door.
A low voltage connection terminal on the outside of the CUBIX™ allows control signals to be received from remote sensors, without having to open the fan. This is a huge advantage and time saver for the controls contractor.
8.- Suction and discharge duct connection flanges.
Heavy-duty duct connection flanges are provided on the suction and discharge of the fan, to facilitate the work of the duct contractor, and prevent air leaks at said joints.
DEWALT®’s unmatched 3-year warranty (Limited), a first in the HVAC industry, gives the customer confidence that this product is designed and built to last and provide years of trouble-free service.
11.-High efficiency MERV-10 type air filters, with ports to measure the condition of the filter (optional).
Optional high-efficiency MERV-10 grade filters are available for supply air applications to ensure good quality of air entering the building.A pair of differential pressure measurement ports are also included in this option to monitor the status of the filters using a portable differential pressure meter.
